jaja's christmas program

jaja had a small christmas program for the parents. they sang a few christmas songs, including silent night in sign language, and then we went back to the classroom to make gingerbread houses! she did so well, and is very creative! i enjoy watching her perform!!!

we've survived another christmas! YAY!!

we had an awesome Christmas again this year! my kids got everything they wanted, and then some......they always do! we did things the same this year as we have every other year, wake up early, though my kids slept til 6:30, open all our presents at home, then head to grandma and grandpa's for round 2! then mom makes her french pancakes, super yummy, and we all head home to crash for a few hours! then back to mom and dad's for Christmas dinner!

after we celebrated my birthday at mom and dad's with dinner, em got gingerbread house kits and we all put one together! they were so nice, had everything pre-cut, frosting and candy to decorate with. everyone did their own design and they all looked really cute!! here are some of the results...

this weekend tye had his grand finale to the wrestling season, the tournament! its nice cause there are kids from out of the city, some more experienced and some less. tye did well, he worked hard only won 1 of 3 matches, but ended up with a silver medal!! woo hooo tye! im so proud of him and all the hard work he puts into this sport! he's really fun to watch!!

aaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh.....

i need help, one of my darling kids had a red crayon in a pocket of some jeans that got washed, and dried!! there are some levi's that got major red crayon wax on them and i'm looking for some answers of how to get it out!! im open to any ideas!!

tye's wrestling....

tye is doing wrestling again this year. this is his 5th year in this sport, and he gets better and better each year. grandpa j is the greatest coach he could have, he's taught him lots of stuff! tye gets frustrated when he loses, but i encourage him and tell him that he cant win every match! we've videoed a lot of matches this year, and i hope to use it as a teaching tool for him. he does really well and i enjoy watching him in this sport more than any other!

jaja's basketball....

jalair loves to play basketball! she did the 'little hoopsters' again this year, and is only the 2nd girl on the team! she's a good team player, loves to pass the ball to the boys that can make baskets! i love to watch her, she'll be waiting for a ball to get to her, look at the crowd & smile, then act worried when the ball passes by her....she's hilarious! here are some pics of her playing hard!

so i had to replace half the lights on our christmas tree this year, it was a pain, but worth it! i did it while my kids were with their dad for thanksgiving. i didnt decorate it though, waited for the kids to do that! they did an awesome job this year, its the first year i dont have to redecorate it after they go to bed! here are the results.....

happy thanksgiving

i am a day late, but hope that all my friends and family had a great thanksgiving! i enjoyed my time with my family, i was sad that my kids weren't with me though! next year.....

i'm counting down to the big snow storm that's going to whiten the state until february or march! it feels weird to have my christmas tree and lights up, but 45-50 degree weather outside!

i did some 'black friday' shopping today. missie and i got up and were to toys-r-us by 1:45am, we were 2nd in line! i got all i wanted for my kids, so that made it all worth it! it really stinks that i had to work today though, i had been up for 8 1/2 hours before i even clocked in! oh well, i'm sure i could sneak to the back for a nap if i need to! :)

iron county report.....

tye's big 4th grade social studies 'project' was on Iron County. he chose to do a poster. we looked up the info online, then he decided what to print to put on the poster.....he did very well! we havent got the 'grade' yet, but im sure he did great! he wanted a shiny poster, but this was as close to shiny as i could find! good job tye!!
