~~fun weekend~~

this weekend, jaja rode in the spanish fork little buckaroo rodeo. she was hesitant up until they got in the arena, and even then she wanted to back out, but grandpa jones was helping her and she rode so well! after that, we decided to go bowling with some friends. tyerell and jalair tied with a score of 70, thats better than what i can bowl!!

1> i cannot eat OATMEAL! as soon as cooked oatmeal hits the back of my throat, i gag! if i keep trying, i'll gag til i barf! :(

2> even with my countertop dishwasher, i suck at keeping my dishes done. its my least favorite chore of all the chores i do around my apartment.

3> i cannot stay awake in movies unless they are comedies!

4> i LOVE to watch NBA, NFL, and MLB on tv. i watch more than a lot of men ive dated!

5> i would eat salt over sugar anyday!

6> i have a natural gray spot of hair on the back of my head....it only shows if i dont dye my hair!

7> ive only eaten prime rib once in my life, on a date, and it was delicious!

8> the perfect temperature in a room for me is 68*

9> my internal alarm clock goes off by 8am everyday, no matter what time i go to bed.

10> i prefer sick kids over whiny kids!

so i went to the dr for my 3 month check-up on my diabetes and he ran some blood tests to make sure things were ok. my A1c level was 6.6 which is EXCELLENT and im so excited about that, but he also ran my cholesterol and it isnt so good! being diabetic doesnt help with this either, they try to keep things strict because diabetics & heart disease go hand-and-hand. so my LDL, which is the 'bad' cholesterol was 121.....my dr wants it around 70. my total cholesterol was 193, and he said below 200 is where they want that. so i looked online and asked my dr about how to fix this WITHOUT using prescription medications.....im sure you all know already, diet & exercise! the "diet" part of it is HARD though, eat little dairy, little cheese, zero egg yolks, little red meats, more veggies & fruit, fish, and nuts help in this area! im going to try out the Cheerios plan too! i have been exercising more in the last 5 months than i have in a LONG time, so that's not too hard to do anymore!

**Utah Grizzlies vs. Idaho Steelheads**

my kids' school gave each student a free ticket to a Utah Grizzlies hockey game and an amazing deal on any additional tickets! so i bought 2, thinking i could get someone to go with me, boy was i wrong! so i basically bought one ticket at full price, which was ok with me! we were on the 6th row, and had soooo much fun!

on saturday, the high school drama department put on a 'princess party'. they fed them lunch, had tons of stuff to do, and im sure they didnt expect as big of turn out as they got! the girls got their faces painted, went 'fishing', colored, did a bean bag toss, and saw some princess movies. jaja and taelyr and kiah hung out together and had a great time! while the girls were doing this, tye had a friends birthday party to go to! it ended up being a fun weekend for us!!

so every year, missie & i go to park city during the sundance film festival. we go up just to hang out at a bar, cisero's, and have a great time! this year we each had a friend or 2 join us, it was the best yet! no boys aloud!!! we didnt see any celebs, but saw people staring thru windows at some i guess!

our new years party/new years day!!

we had a very family friendly new years again this year, and im quite ok with them!! a friend of mine and her daughter, who is one of jalair's friends from school, came over and we watched movies, played starwars monopoly, dressed up for the big 'party', drank lots of apple juice, and had a blast staying up allllll night!! that's right, we made it until midnight this year!!

on new year's day, we decided to go sledding at Rock Canyon Park. em and her kids were going to go with us, but when we searched for sleds, no store had any left! we were bummed cause they werent able to go because we couldnt find any! so tye has had a 'kid snowboard' for over a year, and hasnt used it yet, but he took it to the park with us. he did really good, i was surprised & impressed! we had a blast sledding for 3 hours, and got a great workout!

one day, he decided he was ready to build one of them....he gets frustrated sometimes cause he has to re-read direction, but he always gets them built right!!
