Start of Another School Year!

Tyerell started 8th grade this year, and has a goal of getting a 4.0 all year! He's off to a great start, and when he has his mind set to something, he's gonna do all he can to achieve that goal! I am so proud of him and his awesome school work he does. He loves all of his teachers, and loves that he is learning Spanish this year. (Although he mixes his English and Spanish to make his own words)
Jalair started 6th grade, and has a great teacher this year. She had a hard teacher last year, and so we are super excited about this year. She is running for Student Council, and is on the "social" committee in her classroom so she decorates students desks when it's their birthday.

*S*U*R*P*R*I*S*E*

I planned a "surprise" birthday party for Danny's birthday this year again. I had everyone meet us at Wing Nutz for dinner....he thought it was a date night for the two of us. All of my family (minus Tate) was there, and our friend Andy (and family) were there too. He was totally surprised, and had a blast! My brother-in-law decided to try the Purgatory Wing challenge while we were there, and HE DID IT!! He was #8 on the list, and won a t-shirt and his wings for free for doing it. Way to go Andy! We went to The Sweet Tooth Fairy for a cupcake after dinner too. All in all, I think he had a great night!

YUMMY Yellow squash!

"Zit squash", fresh out of Megan's garden. I don't know the real name for this squash...

Put 2 eggs and a little bit of milk in a bowl, mix together.



I used Italian Seasoned Bread Crumbs, but one recipe I read said to used crushed crackers. I will add salt & pepper to the dry mixture next time.  Just dip the cut squash in the egg mixture, then in the crumbs mixture....



Then fry in some vegetable oil, only took about 4 minutes total

Enjoy! My kids, who don't like to eat "zit squash" normally, LOVED this recipe!!

My sister Megan gave me a few yellow squash, aka zit squash at my house. I always fry up squash, in butter, with salt and pepper but wanted something new this time. So I looked online, saw a few recipes that sounded great but just didn't have all the ingredients to do ONE of the recipes. So I made my own, using a few of the other recipes I had read.

Utah County Fair

I have never been to the Utah County Fair, even though it's right in our own backyard...so this year Tye and I decided to check it out! We had a pretty good time, and next year we are going to go to the Demolition Derby for sure! They had a HUGE Lego setup, it had Tye's attention for a long long time. Very cool to see what they can build with Legos!

It was that time of year again, Redneck weekend at Rocky Mountain Raceway for Monster Trucks. We dressed to fit in this year, and I think we won the contest myself! LOL It was a good time, I am definitely not into it as much as Danny is, but that's ok. Lots of racing, some wrecks, and lots of rednecks!!!

i LOVE playing softball...with my man!! :)

 

Danny & I both enjoy playing softball. We rarely get to play together because of his work schedule. We play tournaments though, and play fall ball together and it's a blast! I love being at the ball park with him! We played in an all nighter in Mount Pleasant last weekend. They're rough, but the funnest!
