Precession in Spanish Fork for PFC Cody James Towse

There was a local soldier killed in Afghanistan and they were holding a precession thru the town of Spanish Fork. I happened to be off, and so I took my kids to see it. It was absolutely A.MA.ZING! So much support from the local community, and so much love for our hero's!!! Everyone had an American flag in hand. It was overwhelming to see all of the police officers, firemen, men & women in Army uniforms, ambulance crews, DWR's, and others following the hearse. Here are a few pics I got!

MeMoRiAl DaY WeEkEnD 2013

For Memorial Day this year, Tye wanted to go fishing somewhere 'new'. So we headed up to Strawberry Reservoir! It was GORGEOUS! I have been there before, but it has been 20+ years! I LOVED it! On our drive up there, we saw lots of wildlife! The best was a MOOSE, that from a distance looked like a horse to me. We spent an hour or so at Strawberry, then it got windy and CoLd so we decided to go up into the Uintas. We dropped Tye off at a lake to fish a little bit more, and Danny & I went to Provo Falls. We visited there last year, and it is SO BEAUTIFUL!! I will make an honest effort to visit this place every year!

We found a cute 3 bedroom 2 bathroom place, in Spanish Fork, that we have moved in to! We LOVE it! It was a quick move, ONE major load of stuff (using my dads horse trailer and everyone's vehicles) and we were done! It has been AmAzInG to live in almost twice as much space! We absolutely LOVE it. The Holi Festival of Colors

Last year, Missie and I went to the Festival of Colors in Spanish Fork with her kids and had the best time ever! This year, they did the color festival on Easter, but I wanted to take my kids so we went early, had a blast, and will be going back every year now! Danny was just like a kid, he LOVED throwing chalk at random people and it totally cracked me up to watch him!

Jalair is 12!!!!

Jalair turned 12 the end of March. She got a lot of clothes, sewing stuff, a new softball bat, batting gloves, cleats, so now she is ready to play softball!!! Danny & I had been looking at 3 bedroom places before her birthday, and got the word that we could move into our current place just before her birthday....so we gave her and Tye a key with a note that said "Pack your bags, we are moving NEXT WEEKEND!!!" They were so excited! It was a great birthday for Jalair! She is such a fun person, always looking out for others, and has a heart of gold. I sure do love her!!!!

Tyerell is 14!!!

Tyerell turned 14 this year, I have a hard time believing it...I don't feel like I am old enough to have a 14 year-old! He's such a great young man, so helpful, willing to do what he's asked and has really found his love of FISHING in the past year or two! He got lots of fishing stuff for his birthday, and chose to have Chocolate Chip Cookies and Vanilla Pudding instead of cake and ice cream! I sure love him to pieces!!!

CoRnEd BeEf & CaBbAgE

Last year, Danny & I decided to try out the good ol' Corned Beef and Cabbage meal for St. Patty's Day....IT IS DELICIOUS!!! If you haven't tried it, you're missing out! We make it several times a year now, and love it more and more each time we eat it! It's so EASY to make too....Put it in the crock pot on LOW heat for 6-8 hours and EnJoY! We make red potatoes, cabbage, and this year some asparagus to go with it. It was all excellent!
