Update
i had my gall bladder out monday. i was told by my nurse to be at the hospital at 7:30 am to consult with the surgeon and then go from there. well, my mom and i were there at 7:30 am and no dr. the secretary said 'he wont be in until 8:30' so mom went down and ate, and we just waited in the waiting room for him. around 9:30 the dr showed up, and took me right back. had a little discussion and decided he wanted to take it out, but he had to do one before me. so we waited a little longer, and by the time all the paper work was filled out and it was time for surgery it was probably 11:00. i was starving!!! couldnt eat though. so surgery went well, mom and dad were in the recovery room with me and i was in there for quite some time. i guess i didnt come out of anesthesia very quick and in the mean time my blood sugars had dropped! my dad mentioned that they probably would want to check it, and by then it was 30! so they did the I.V. of 'sugar' and by then it was 4:30 pm. i was ready to go home, my back was aching from the 'gas' they pump your abdomen full of to do the surgery. so shortly after they got my blood sugars up, i was on my way home, well, to mom & dad's! we stayed the night there, i was just mainly uncomfortable from the back ache. tuesday when i woke up, i felt pretty good. just had to take pain meds to feel good enough to move around, which they said i needed to do in order to get the 'gas' out of my system. all in all everything went pretty well. i havent eaten much since the surgery, ive had a yogurt and 2 bowls of chicken noodle soup....blah! im doing good, headed back to work tomorrow so we'll see how that works out! thanks for all the love and support!!

Sounds good! But take it easy- don't rush back into stuff. Eat Hickory Kists chicken noodle soup and you will be better in no time! BTW my friend told me that her friend got a gas bubble stuck in her shoulder blade after her surgery and it took a few months to work out- so don't over do it!!
Brit, I am so glad the surgery went well, and that you are feeling good. Hate the gas pains! SO TAKE IT easy, and just relax this weekend:) watch Marley and Me and have a good cry love ya!
